Giannis Antetokounmpo has once again made history after signing the largest contract in NBA history. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar starred in plenty of rumors over the past couple of months, with some reports suggesting he was leaving the Bucks.

Well, Giannis has shut down that possibility in a great fashion after re-signing with the Bucks for five years and $228 million, the biggest deal ever signed in the association. Giannis earned every single penny on that contract and now it’s time to go for more.

He’s ready to lead the Bucks to a title and everybody in the league is waiting to see what Giannis is going to do now, including LeBron James, who had a few words to say about the player and his new contract.

Bron was asked about Giannis’ extension and he was happy to see the 26-year-old showing his commitment to the Bucks, his first and only team in the NBA. Amid plenty of rumors suggesting he was taking his talents somewhere else, Giannis did the opposite and is staying in Wisconsin.

“I think it’s great he’s staying there and committed to that franchise,” James said.

Seeing how things developed for Giannis and the similarities this situation had with LeBron in 2010, he was asked about both situations but LeBron made it clear that they’re completely different scenarios.

“My situation and his situation, there’s no similarities in it. It’s totally different.”

Antetokounmpo is keen to bring a championship to Milwaukee and he’s willing to do so at any cost. The Bucks landed Jrue Holiday this offseason to help Giannis. It seems like they have a better shot at the title now but the competition will be harder this season. Still, as long as they have Giannis, they’ll be contenders to the title.
