The Phoenix Suns enter the 2023 NBA season with championship aspirations. After adding Bradley Beal to their core of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, the Suns boast one of the most potent offenses in the league. They struck the first blow at the beginning of the season, winning against a big favorite, Golden State Warriors by 108-104.

On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors enter the season with high expectations. They have a core of three future Hall of Famers in Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, and they have added some key pieces in the offseason, including Chris Paul and Gary Payton II.

The first game of the season was tough for the Golden State Warriors, they started the first half losing, but during the 3rd quarter they scored 40 points to take a break from the Suns’ offense.

Warriors fans reacted

The Warriors have the talent to make a deep run in the playoffs. They have a lot of experience and they are one of the deepest teams in the league. If they can play their best basketball, they have a chance to reach the NBA Finals. But things started badly during the season opener and the fans are not happy.

The Suns have all the pieces in place to be a contender. However, there are some questions that need to be answered. First, how will Beal fit into the offense? He is used to being the primary ball-handler, but he will need to defer to Durant and Booker at times. Second, can the Suns improve their defense? They ranked 20th in defensive rating last season.

In addition to their offensive firepower, the Suns also have a solid supporting cast that includes Jusuf Nurkić, Josh Okogie, and Yuta Watanabe. Nurkić is a talented center who can rebound and protect the rim. Okogie is a versatile guard who can switch onto multiple positions.

Durant is a two-time NBA Finals MVP who is still averaging over 27 points per game at age 35. Booker is a rising superstar who averaged 27.8 points per game last season.

Suns or Warriors for 2023-24 NBA title?

Both the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors have a good chance of winning the NBA championship in the 2023-24 season. They are both deep and talented teams with a lot of experience. The Suns have a slight edge in terms of talent, with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker being two of the best players in the league.

Beal vs. Paul: Who has bigger impact in 2023-24?

Both Beal and Paul are All-Star caliber players who can make a significant impact on their teams. However, Paul could have a bigger impact on the Warriors’ success in the 2023-24 season. Paul is a better playmaker and defender than Beal.
