Skip Bayless somehow still blasts LeBron James after 9th Final in 10 years

Even though he does that for a living, sometimes it feels like Skip Bayless just outdoes himself when it comes to talking about LeBron James. There are times when James or the Lakers aren’t even playing and somehow, someway, he still finds a way to make it all about him. He’s obsessed with him.

Needless to say, not even James’ triple-double to lead the Los Angeles Lakers back to the NBA Finals for the first time in a decade was enough to put Bayless at ease. If anything, it only Infuriated him even more.

So, right after the Lakers celebrated their Finals berth after a hard-fought Game 5 vs. the Denver Nuggets, the analyst took it to his Twitter account to fire shots at LeBron James, who’ll be making his 9th trip to the Finals in 10 years.

“This is LeBron’s easiest path to a ring: KD/Kyrie decided not to play. So LBJ got to beat a 35-39 Portland (and Dame got hurt), then the Rockets after Danuel House broke house rules, then the Nuggets instead of Kawhi’s Clippers, and now maybe the overachieving Heat. Meant to be,” Bayless said.

Skip not only didn’t factor how dominant the Los AngelesLakers were since the start of the season nor the fact that they still had to go through several All-Stars on their way to the NBA Finals.

Moreover, Bayless started playing down the importance of this Championship by claiming that, should James win it, it’ll be a COVID Championship and it shouldn’t count because he got 5 months of rest – as if the other 22 teams didn’t get the same time off.

“LeBron, nearing the end of his 17th season, got a huge break when he got 5 months off to get ready for a playoff push. Now he gets to rest again as Boston and Miami battle it out. What a Covid championship this will be for LeBron,” Bayless continued.

And last, but not least, Bayless said that the Clippers, the very same team that blew a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets, would have beaten the Lakers: “The Clippers would’ve beaten the Lakers. Even the Lakers know that.”

I get it. You can dislike LeBron as a player or even as a person, you’re entitled to that. But this is just rock-bottom for Bayless. I mean, there’s literally nothing to say about this year’s run, especially after the guy has made the Finals 9 times out of 10 this decade.
