Many teams are in need of an elite quarterback this year, and Cam Ward appears to be a solid option. Now, the Hurricanes standout has revealed which team he believes he would fit perfectly with ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

In just a few days, Cam Ward is set to become a professional football player. He had an outstanding career with the Miami Hurricanes, but now it’s time to prove himself at the pro level.

According to many mock drafts, Cam Ward is expected to be selected within the top 10 picks. However, the quarterback has shared his preferred destination, and it’s not outside the top five selections.

Several scouts believe there are only two quarterbacks deserving of first-round picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Cam Ward is one of them, but there’s still uncertainty about which team will select the former Hurricanes star.

Ward, who played his first two college seasons at Washington State, had a remarkable career, but it was at Miami where he truly shined, finishing with 4,313 passing yards and 39 touchdowns in his best year.

He felt at home in Miami and recognizes that the NFL will present a whole new challenge. With that in mind, Ward has named the team he believes would be the best fit based on his college experience.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Ward discussed his potential landing spots. While he acknowledged that he could have a great career anywhere, he sees the Tennessee Titans as the best fit due to the team’s overall game plan.

“I was able to watch a couple of their games this past season. A lot of their route concepts are similar stuff that we do [at Miami],” Ward said. “So, if I were drafted there, I just think it’d be plug-and-play.”

Will the Titans select Cam Ward?

During the offseason, Cam Ward spent time with Tennessee’s coaching staff at the Shrine Bowl, which gave him an opportunity to learn about the team’s offensive strategy. That experience helped him decide that the Titans would be a great landing spot for him.

Unfortunately, Ward’s chances of being selected first overall are slim. According to most mock drafts, either Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter is expected to go No. 1 this year. Still, in the unpredictable world of the NFL Draft, anything is possible.
