Hall of Famer quarterback Brett Favre took to Twitter to voice his support for Donald Trump and got a lot of backlash from social media users.

We’re living insome polarizing times nowadays. The world is divided now more than ever and sometimes, it feels like voicing your opinion could lead to a horde of people who think differently going after your head. If you don’t take our word for it, just ask legendary quarterback Brett Favre.

The Hall of Famer gunslinger has had his fair share of hot takes throughoutthe course of his successful career and he’s always been a subject of multiple controversies. However, most of them were related to the National Football League.

This time, the Green Bay Packers legend earned even more detractors on social media after letting everybody know that he intended to vote for President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

“My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech & religion, 2nd Amnd, hard working tax paying citizens, police & military. In this election, we have freedom of choice, which all should respect. For me & these principles, my Vote is for@RealDonaldTrump #Vote,” Favre wrote.

Needless to say, Favre’s tweet brought a lot of mixed reactions on Twitter. Some fans thought of him as even more of a football legend while others bashed him and called him out on social media.
