Dak Prescott expressed confidence that a deal between Micah Parsons and Jerry Jones will get done, but reminded Cowboys fans that every negotiation takes time.

Dak Prescott appreciates that Micah Parsons showed up to the Cowboys’ mandatory minicamp, unlike what has happened with other NFL stars like T.J. Watt in Pittsburgh or Trey Hendrickson and the Bengals.

However, the quarterback admits that each case is very different and warned Dallas Cowboys fans about the possible outcome of the negotiations between Jerry Jones and Parsons before the start of the 2025 season. Very positive signs.

“Those situations are all independent and different. I’m sure Micah feels the same way. Don’t compare him to Trey or whoever else it is. We’re all very confident that Micah’s going to get this deal done. It starts with Micah and Jerry and I think they’ve both alluded to that. Obviously, it’s a situation and position that I’ve been in a couple times. He understands the wait and just doing everything in between there the right way.”

Will Micah Parsons get contract extension from Dallas Cowboys?

The Dallas Cowboys are willing to give Micah Parsons a contract extension. Jerry Jones has stated that publicly. The big question is whether they’ll find common ground on the amount, especially considering that Parsons has waited longer to receive his deal than Dak Prescott or CeeDee Lamb.

In the case of Parsons, Watt, and Hendrickson, the benchmark is Myles Garrett, who already has his new contract worth $40 million per season and $123 million guaranteed. Any negotiation with the Cowboys will have to come close to that number. Otherwise, it will be considered a failure.
