Even though they were sitting at an almost-flawless 5-1 record, no one truly believed that the Chicago Bears were actually that good. They had faced some subpar teams and beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a terrible mistake by Tom Brady.
The Bears had a prime chance to prove the rest of the NFL that they were for real this time. They traveled to Inglewood to face off vs. the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium and even though the home team was favored by a touchdown by most oddsmakers, some analysts thought it wuold be a close matchup because of Chicago’s solid defense.
Needless to say, that wasnowhere near the reality. The Rams dominated from start to finish and the Bears’ offense couldn’t score a single touchdown, with Nick Foles picked off in the endzone and their lone touchdown coming from a forced fumble late in the game.

The Bears looked worn out and clueless through the whole game and there are a lot of questions regarding Nick Foles’ ability to lead their offense going forward. The only thing that’s helping him keep his starting job – for now – is the fact that Mitch Trubisky was equally as bad, if not worst.
So, after watching yet another cringe-worthy effort by the Bears, fans on social media urged them to fire Matt Nagy, blaming him for the questionable movements the team has made lately and for their terrible performances.

Here’s the thing- Matt Nagy is a good head coach. He is. Here’s the other thing- Matt Nagy is a terrible offensive coordinator. He really, really is…

For the 24th time in Matt Nagy’s 40 games as Bears coach, the offense has failed to get to 21 points.

Matt Nagy approaches playcalling like an all-you-can-eat buffet where he walks in telling himself he’s gonna try everything and then ends up eating a whole bunch of shit instead of just getting something he’d have liked.

Matt Nagy has to be the most gimmicky dumbest play caller in the league. Only Adam Gase is worse.

At the end of the day, the Bears still have quite a solid record at 5-2 and are en route to make the playoffs, barring a major disaster. Then again, we know they simply don’t stand a chance vs. a true contender. Whether they’ll let Matt Nagy at this point or not is yet to be seen, but Bears fans have already been through a lot, that’s for sure.
