There's no denying that, when healthy, Saquon Barkley is one of the most disruptive forces in the National Football League. He was the anchor of the New York Giants' offense since entering the league.

The problem is that Barkley can't seem to stay healthy. He gets hurt at some point in the season, comes back way too early to try and help his team, and the never-ending cycle goes on and on.

From hamstring pulls to constant ankle and knee issues, the 24-year-old star can't seem to catch a break and will miss at least Week 6. That's why he recently opened up and discussed his tough luck with injuries in an interview for the Giants' website.

Saquon Barkley Gets Emotional When Discussing His Injuries: "Why Me?"

“I’ll be honest, it’s frustrating… It doesn’t make sense why it’s happening, but obviously when you get hurt you have those one or two days when it’s an ankle sprain. Obviously, when it’s a knee injury, it’s probably a little longer. You have those days to reflect and feel bad for yourself and have that ‘why me?’ mentality," the star rusher said.

“But you can’t keep that mindset. Having that mindset, you’re not going to get anywhere with it. You’ve just got to look on the brighter side. Everything happens for a reason. This could slow me down to help me out in other ways to get myself ready and whenever I’m going to get back on the field, just get back to playing the sport that I love and to get back to contributing to help the team [Giants]," he added.

Barkley won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2018 and broke the record for the most receptions by a rookie running back. Sadly, his total yards and touchdowns have gone downhill ever since and his lack of durability is starting to become a major reason for concern.
