The start of training camp brought its first setbacks for the Baltimore Ravens. Isaiah Likely, a key piece in John Harbaugh’s system, finished Tuesday’s practice with an injury—an issue that the head coach addressed at the end of the session.
According to The Athletic’s reporter Jeff Zrebiec, Harbaugh told the media that the tight end rolled his ankle and will be sidelined for several weeks. Further tests will determine the exact course of action moving forward.
“Harbaugh said that Isaiah Likely rolled his ankle and it’s “going to be a few weeks.” He said Likely will get MRI tomorrow so they’ll have more info then,” Zrebiec wrote via @jeffzrebiec.
Once the severity of the injury is confirmed, the Ravens will have to assess how to move forward with their training process at the tight end position—a group led by standout veteran Mark Andrews.
Harbaugh’s tight end options
Given the style of play that John Harbaugh often looks to implement during games, having a tight end on the roster who can meet the coach’s expectations is absolutely crucial.

There’s no doubt that Mark Andrews is the primary reference at the position, but Isaiah Likely is also a key figure for this team. His recent injury changes the outlook moving forward—especially with his return to the field still uncertain.
In addition to Andrews and Likely, the Ravens also have players like Sam Pitz, Zaire Mitchell-Paden, and Charlie Kolar—all of whom still have plenty to prove.
Taking control of the AFC North
The Baltimore Ravens aim to secure the AFC North title this season, driven by quarterback Lamar Jackson and their robust roster. Their consistent play and established coaching staff are geared towards achieving this divisional goal against the Bengals, Steelers, and Browns.
Beyond the division, the Ravens’ ambition is to make a significant playoff run, with their sights set on a Super Bowl appearance. With a team built for contention and Jackson’s postseason experience, they are focused on overcoming past playoff challenges and competing for the championship.
