It goes without saying that Lamar Jackson is one of the most talented players in the NFL right now. He can dominate opposing defenses at will and is the main reason why theBaltimore Ravens have been so dominant as of late.
However, there are still some people who doubt his ability to lead the team when it matters the most, as he’s had a history of underperforming in the playoffs and whenever he has to face winning teams.
That’s why his head coach John Harbaugh believes that he must do a better job of shaking away the pressure when the defenses focus on containing him, as he’s struggled with accuracy in those situations.
John Harbaugh Says Lamar Jackson Still Needs To Improve
“He still has a lot to learn, but the great thing about Lamar is he recognizes that. He understands that people are making him the focus. He has got to find a way to tighten up his game and beat those things with precision and accuracy and his mind. They’re doing everything they can with a lot of smart and talented people to stop Lamar Jackson the week that they play him,” coach Harbaugh told ESPN.
Jackson has played at an elite level since the start of the season. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs exposed him in a big way in both of the Baltimore Ravens’ losses this year.
Then again, we’re talking about a guy who’s set to turn 24 in January and there’s still a lot of room for improvement and some time before he reaches his prime, which is a scary thought for the rest of the league.
Lamar Jackson has the talent to be the best quarterback in the NFL and continue to silence his critics but he must do some soul-searching and understand that he needs to make adjustments.
