Things haven’t gone well for the Dallas Cowboys this year. Hope and expectations were high entering the sason as Dak Prescott was going to play for a contract and Mike McCarthy was going to replace Jason Garrett after a decade of underperforming.

However, the team is just 2-4 after four weeks, the defense can’t get stops, and they just can’t seem to be able of making adjustments. Truth be told, they’d be 1-5 or even 0-6 if it wasn’t for Prescott’s stellar performance vs. the Atlanta Falcons.

And now that they won’t have their starting quarterback under center and are struggling on the worst division in the NFL, things aren’t going well in the locker room either, with several players leaking information and voicing their thoughts on the new coaching staff.

Dallas Cowboys Players Claim Mike McCarthy And His Staff Are ‘Totally Unprepared’

Just yesterday, Jane Slater of NFL Network reported that some unnamed Cowboys players weren’t exactly fond of Mike McCarthy and his coaching staff, saying that they’re “totally unprepared. They don’t teach. They don’t have any sense of adjusting on the fly“, while other added that “they just aren’t good at their jobs”.

Mike McCarthy Says They Should Handle Things Like Men

The former Green Bay Packers coach didn’t shy away from the controversy and claimed that even though he hadn’t heard anything about that, they should be able to handle these kinds of things like men:

“Well, I mean, first off, I haven’t heard any of those type of discussions. I think like a lot of things when you hit a part of your season, or any challenge where there is negativity out there and where it comes from and who it comes from, that’s something that I’ve never chased, McCarthy said. I’ve always stated that it’s important to handle things as men. I mean, if you do have something to say publicly that is of most important, I think it’s important to say it to the individual, or particularly in a group dynamic setting, especially in the game of football, especially for the Dallas Cowboys,” the coach concluded, according to Pro Football Talk.

It seems like the Dallas Cowboys just can’t catch a break and will always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot despite having a solid roster, and McCarthy doesn’t seem like the guy capable of leading this team back to the top of the league.
