The New York Jets are in rebuild mode, even the most diehard fans know that, but there are rebuilds and rebuilds. In six weeks of the NFL season the Jets have a 1-5 record and were blown away by the New England Patriots over the weekend 54-13.

Something to consider is that the Jets are the youngest team in the NFL, their coach is a first-year coach and their quarterback, Zach Wilson, is a rookie. The Jets truly don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to the more polished teams in the league.

While Jets fans have voiced their concerns, Woody Johnson, in an NFL owners fall meeting, has stressed patience and confidence on both his General Manager and head coach. Here is what Woody Johnson had to say about Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh in a quick interview with reporters.

When answering reporters’ Johnson stated: “I have unwavering confidence in (GM) Joe (Douglas), (head coach) Robert (Saleh) and the coaching staff… It’s a good group.” Johnson continued that the Jets are “a very young team with a 22-year-old quarterback”, who is “seeing things for the first time.”

Johnson went on to state: “Last week was frustrating but now we turn the page and we’re off to the Bengals.” The New York Jets return home this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals and then take things on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.
