It’s been a busy time at the Cincinnati Bengals’ facilities, as the team works to prepare in the best possible way to become contenders in the AFC North. At this point, Joe Burrow knows he’ll be without one of his offensive weapons at the start of the new NFL season, while the situation with Trey Hendrickson remains unresolved.

According to the latest reports, talented running back Zack Moss will no longer be part of Zac Taylor’s roster, as he was recently released by the Bengals. Moving forward, he will need to explore new opportunities ahead of the upcoming season.

The news was confirmed by NFL insider Adam Schefter, who reported the significant decision made by the franchise via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

“Bengals released veteran RB Zack Moss, who played in eight games with six starts for Cincinnati last season. Moss had 74 rushing attempts for 242 yards and two TDs last season,” the insider stated.

Moss was once a viable option for Burrow in the offense, but moving forward, that partnership will no longer be part of Taylor’s team as he seeks a new direction for his career.

Hendrickson appears at Bengals’ facilities

One of the most talked-about storylines in the NFL in recent days undoubtedly involves Trey Hendrickson and the Bengals. Despite not having resolved his contract situation with the franchise, the talented defensive end showed up alongside his teammates—though he did not participate in any on-field activity.

According to insider Mike Petraglia, the former Saints defensive end made an appearance at the Bengals’ training camp, even though he remains unavailable to the coaching staff until his contract situation is resolved.

“Trey Hendrickson has arrived at Bengals practice Wednesday morning in dress clothes not in uniform, a throwback to his outfit from May 13 the last time he was on the Kettering Health practice fields,” he reported via @Trags.

Taking control of the AFC North

The Cincinnati Bengals are determined to move on from last season, where they fell short of expectations. Getting off on the right foot in Week 1 will be crucial. The AFC North is shaping up to be one of the most competitive divisions in the league, and any misstep could result in a significant setback for Zac Taylor’s team.

With the Ravens in the mix, Aaron Rodgers leading the Steelers, and a revamped Browns squad boasting a talent-rich quarterback room, it won’t be an easy road for Burrow and company. Can they finally reach the long-awaited Super Bowl this season?
