Despite the disappointment of falling short in the NFL Divisional Round, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen showed no hesitation in congratulating Patrick Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory. Just days after their postgame handshake, audio surfaced revealing their brief exchange—one in which Allen made a notable request regarding Super Bowl LIX.

For Allen, it was another heartbreaking moment in his quest to bring a championship to Buffalo. The Bills once again came close, only to see Mahomes and the Chiefs prove why they remain the team to beat. Now, with Kansas City set to play in the Super Bowl in New Orleans this February, Mahomes has a chance to cement his legacy even further.

Despite the outcome, the audio revealed a short but impactful message from Allen to Mahomes as they met at midfield. With the Super Bowl looming, those words could serve as extra motivation for Mahomes and the Chiefs.

Go get another one,” Allen told Mahomes, who, in turn, acknowledged Allen’s efforts. “Hell of a year, man,” Mahomes responded. The mutual respect between the two quarterbacks—despite the Bills’ tough loss—is something fans have been praising on social media.

Allen’s message to his teammates

Another chance for Allen to make history with the Bills slipped away, once again at the hands of the Chiefs. It’s not the first time Kansas City has stood in their way. Four years ago, the two teams clashed with a Super Bowl berth on the line, only for Buffalo to fall short in overtime.

With that painful memory still fresh, Allen couldn’t hide his frustration after another heartbreaking loss to the Chiefs. The Bills were on the verge of victory, but Kansas City found a way once more. Now, the reigning champions are headed to another Super Bowl, aiming for their third consecutive title—something unprecedented in the modern era.

“It’s not fun, but to be the champs, you’ve got to beat the champs, and we didn’t do it tonight,” Allen told reporters. “You either get it done or you don’t, and we didn’t. We didn’t get it done.”

Mahomes’ message to his teammates about the Eagles

As the Chiefs set their sights on a Super Bowl showdown with the Eagles, Patrick Mahomes delivered a clear message to his teammates. Already shifting his focus to the task ahead, the star quarterback emphasized the magnitude of the moment and the mindset needed to seize the NFL title.

“We’re not at our ultimate goal yet,” Mahomes said. This will be a great challenge against Philadelphia. I’m excited for the guys to prepare, get to New Orleans, and give it our best shot. I’ll enjoy this win tonight, but after that, it’s all about focusing on the Eagles.”
