Brian Callahan assured in an interview with Tom Pelissero that the Tennessee Titans are very close to their final decision on what to do with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL draft.
āWeāre getting closer for sure. All of the processes are moving right along. I would say we have a pretty good feel for what direction weāre headed by early April here, and you put the final touches on it and tie the bow over it by the time you get to the draft.ā
The Titans havenāt made any big moves at the quarterback position in free agency and havenāt even been among the candidates to sign Aaron Rodgers. This means that, most likely, the entire bet will be on a rookie quarterback.
Who will the Titans draft?
Cam Ward is the favorite to be drafted by the Titans with the No. 1 overall pick. Despite other names like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, or Abdul Carter, all signs point to the star from the University of Miami. Callahan admits that the decision is between those prospects.
āI think itās a short list at No. 1 for sure. Itās all the guys that I think are worthy of it, the ones that everyone talks about out there, and between Travis and Shedeur and Cam and Abdul Carter. I think those are. Thatās the top of the draft for me. Those are the most elite players in the draft. Thereās going to be a lot of good ones certainly that come after them, but I think those at this moment are the best players in the draft and at the top of it.ā
