In a surprising turn of events, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday. Now, the wide receiver has reportedly made a bold promise to Jerry Jones upon his arrival to the NFC East club.

The Steelers have been active this offseason, especially with several changes on offense. As the team awaits Aaron Rodgers’ decision, they’ve been reshuffling pieces to prepare for whoever will be their next starting quarterback.

Prior to the 2025 NFL Draft, rumors swirled that the team might move on from George Pickens. However, it wasn’t until after the event that the Steelers officially parted ways with the wide receiver, sending him to the Cowboys in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder.

Jerry Jones responded by acquiring George Pickens, a wideout with high potential who didn’t quite live up to expectations in Pittsburgh but is eager to prove himself in Dallas.

Pickens is entering the final year of his rookie contract and does not have a fifth-year option. While many players push for contract extensions after being traded, the 24-year-old is taking a different approach—he believes he must earn it on the field first.
