One of the most common questions about the Jacksonville Jaguars involves their 2025 first-round pick. Travis Hunter wants to play both wide receiver and cornerback, but the team may already have a preferred position in mind.

During the 2025 NFL Draft, the Jaguars traded up to secure the No. 2 overall pick. With it, the AFC South team selected Travis Hunter, a player widely regarded as a generational talent.

Hunter entered the NFL with the clear intention of playing both offense and defense. However, doing so may prove difficult given the physical demands of today’s league.

Hunter is not playing both positions in the same session. According to reports, secondary coach Ron Milus has now requested more time with him, indicating the defensive staff sees elite potential in his skills as a cornerback.
