According to Cowboys insider Jon Machota, Jones downplayed the idea of using free agency to improve the roster. “I don’t think aggressive is the right word. … I’m not looking at free agency as a place to fill voids,” he said.
Instead, Jones reiterated that the team will once again rely on the draft to address its needs. However, given the Cowboys’ mixed track record with recent draft picks, fans have every reason to be concerned.
