Los Angeles Rams secured Matthew Stafford as quarterback for the 2025 NFL after a long wait to know what would be the decision of the 37-year-old veteran. The organization of the West Coast team said that the contract extension is a renewal of vows. Coach Sean McVay got the answer he was waiting for.

With a reaffirmation of a good relationship, a statement reaffirming the deal is always in order. In this case, it’s not just about sentiment, but that the Rams gave Stafford a better deal than the four-year, $160 million contract he signed in March 2022.

Rams general manager Les Snead said Stafford is a man of interesting words, so it’s a great opportunity to hear from the 37-year-old quarterback, who is back under McVay‘s orders for next season.

“I’m definitely excited for the opportunity not only to play and do all that but to get involved and really start figuring out places and things I can do to give back,” he declared. Stafford chose to stay with the Rams on a restructured contract after rumors that he had received offers from other teams regarding his future.
