Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers are ready to make major adjustments to their offense following the arrival of Aaron Rodgers. According to a report from Jeremy Fowler, the role of the tight end position will be crucial.

“When I visited the Pittsburgh Steelers training camp and talked to people over there over the last few weeks, it’s obvious that they’re going to use Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith a ton. One player told me: ‘Hey, we might even be 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 10, and we’ll roll out 12 personnel.’ That’s how comfortable Aaron Rodgers and Arthur Smith have become with those tight ends.”

The depth at the tight end position is very notable with the Steelers. They already had Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington, and Connor Heyward. In addition, after a trade with the Miami Dolphins, they signed Jonnu Smith, who had a great 2024 season.

Are Steelers favorites to win the AFC North?

No. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not favorites to win the AFC North. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have the best odds (-160), followed by Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (+250).

The Steelers are in third place in the odds (+550) despite all their signings, and in the last spot, the Cleveland Browns are a very long shot for the divisional title (+3000).
