The offseason of the 2025 NFL season is in full swing, and teams continue to make swift moves. One such case is the Pittsburgh Steelers, who confirmed the re-signing of a player who has played for their rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Just like last season, head coach Mike Tomlin will have a former teammate of star quarterback Lamar Jackson on his roster.
The rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens is one of the most fascinating in the league and undoubtedly a high-stakes game in the AFC North. Not far back, Baltimore eliminated Pittsburgh in the wild card round of the playoffs. While athletic performance is the main factor in deciding which player will be part of the roster, this is a case worth reviewing.
Many players have passed through both the Ravens and Steelers. It’s worth remembering cases from previous years, such as Steve McNair, James Harrison, or Willie Parker. In this case, Tomlin will have a former teammate of Jackson under his wing for the second consecutive year.
Which former Ravens player will stay with the Steelers?
The former Ravens player who has been re-signed by the Steelers is none other than outside linebacker Jeremiah Moon, who will sign a new one-year contract with the Pittsburgh franchise, according to journalist Aaron Wilson of KPRC reports.

Moon was an exclusive rights free agent and had been awaiting this news to determine his future in the league. Last season, he had already played for the Steelers, participating in 13 games, with only one as a starter. In those appearances, he recorded nine tackles in 222 special teams snaps and 111 defensive snaps.
