Jordan Love will face the tough challenge of leading his Green Bay Packers to a successful season and, why not, dreaming of reaching the Super Bowl once again. To do so, one of the NFL’s most promising quarterbacks will have new weapons at his disposal, with fresh talent on offense brought in to further strengthen one of the top contenders in the NFC North.
The latest draft proved to be a positive one for the Packers, as they picked up several college standouts expected to bring fresh energy to Matt LaFleur’s squad. In addition to the key selection of wide receiver Matthew Golden, an important WR has already put pen to paper with the Wisconsin franchise, adding further depth to an already promising offensive unit.
Savion Williams was selected by the Green Bay team in the third round with the 87th overall pick, following a successful college career with the TCU Horned Frogs. According to NBCSports.com, the talented wideout has officially signed with the team, becoming another valuable piece for Love.
With this move, Williams joins a crowded WR room that already features several promising names — including Dontayvion Wicks, one of Jordan Love’s go-to targets during last NFL season.

More signings, and some still waiting
It’s been a busy stretch in Wisconsin, as many of the recently acquired players in Green Bay have begun signing their rookie contracts with the franchise, while others remain in negotiations as they evaluate the terms on the table.
The Packers have officially inked deals with several of their late-round draft picks, including defensive linemen Barryn Sorrell (4th round), Collin Oliver (5th round), and Warren Brinson (6th round), as well as cornerback Micah Robinson and offensive guard John Williams, both selected in the seventh round.
On the other hand, the status of two key players remains unresolved, as wide receiver Matthew Golden and second-round offensive tackle Anthony Belton have yet to finalize their rookie deals.
A defensive playmaker stays in Wisconsin
Roster moves continue to unfold for Jordan Love’s Packers as the weeks go by, with preparations for a new NFL season quickly approaching.
This time, safety Zayne Anderson has secured his spot on the team, after playing seven games with the Chiefs during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. On the other hand, defensive lineman Leonard Payne, who had signed a futures contract in January, has been released by the franchise and will not continue under Matt LaFleur’s leadership.
