For years, Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs have had the privilege of relying on Patrick Mahomes, one of the best quarterbacks in recent memory. Steve Spagnuolo, another respected figure in the NFL, recently named who he sees as second on that list—leaving out both Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.
The league has come to appreciate the talent of several players who have emerged from college football in recent years, making a mark on their teams and achieving numerous accomplishments.
Netflix premiered the second season of the series ‘Quarterback,’ where a particular scene shows the successful Chiefs defensive coordinator heading toward Joe Burrow, the Bengals’ QB, and telling him that, in his opinion, he is the best after Mahomes.
“Other than our guy (Patrick Mahomes) you are the best in the business,” Spagnuolo told the former LSU Tigers player.

While Steve Spagnuolo chose Joe Burrow as the best quarterback behind Patrick Mahomes, it’s well known that both Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson remain two of the NFL’s top stars today.
