When many believed that, after the Super Bowl, Travis Kelce would finally call it a career in the NFL, the star tight end surprised fans and analysts alike by deciding to play one more year with the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite his age, many believe he still has plenty left in the tank—among them, GM Brett Veach.

One of Patrick Mahomes’ primary offensive weapons in recent years has been seen in significantly improved physical shape, making it clear that the twilight of his career may still be far off. Those close to him remain confident in what Kelce can continue to bring to the field for his teammates.

In a recent conversation with the media, the Chiefs’ general manager shared his thoughts on the situation of one of the team’s stars, expressing his belief that Kelce can still perform at an elite level in the NFL.

ā€œThe great ones know how to find it,ā€ Veach said, via Adam Teicher of ESPN. ā€œThey know where it’s buried, and they know how to access it. And they can’t access it at that age week in and week out, but when they need it, they know how to find it.ā€
