It’s pretty safe to state that the New England Patriots have had their share of success and great times lately. However, as it happens in sports, it’s hard to say at the top for years. It’s all a cycle, one day you’re up, then you’re down.

That’s what’s happening with one of the winningest organizations in the NFL. Not only the Patriots didn’t make the playoffs but also they lost two of their biggest idols ever: Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Brady signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and didn’t need to do much to convince Gronkowski to come back from retirement and join him in the NFC, rubbing some salt in Patriots fans’ wounds.

Rob Gronkowski Throws Some Shade To The Patriots Organization

And now that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to play in the Super Bowl in just their first season back together, Patriots fans will definitely hate to hear what Gronk had to say about their franchise:

“Coming here, it’s is a complete 180, for sure, totally different.Imean, I feel like the biggest difference is just having the freedom of being yourself in this organization,” Gronkowski told SiriusXM NFL Radio.

It’s not a secret that Bill Belichick’s coaching style and personality can often rub people the wrong way, especially superstars. Also, owner Robert Kraft has been criticized in the past for his antics as well.

The rumor around the NFL is that Belichick’s treatment towards his stars was precisely the thing that made them go away. They felt undervalued and underappreciated and wanted to demonstrate that they’re also responsible for the team’s success.

Now, Gronk and Brady will try to win their fourth Super Bowl together, while the Patriots lack a quarterback for the future and top-notch weapons to surround him with. That’s pretty cold, folks.
