It's not often that you see that a superstar is angry at his team. But once those rumors start looming around, it creates a bit of a snowball effect that not many teams are able to contain. Hopefully for the Seattle Seahawks, that won't be the case with Russell Wilson, who looks beyond frustrated right now and some people believe that could demand a trade. In fact, the word around the NFL is that the Seahawks could also be fielding calls for him right now and looking at all options.

Wilson has often expressed his love for Seattle fans and his desire to stay with the team until his retirement. Then again, that could change pretty soon given the fact that he's been sacked more times in 9 years than every other quarterback in NFL history.

His ability to thrive on broken plays and extend plays have made them one of the best quarterbacks to ever do it but after almost a decade in the league, he's worried about his protection, or lack of it.

Russell Wilson Is Sick Of Getting Hit

It seems like Wilson's frustration at the team's inability to protect him has reached an all-time high and he just can't handle it anymore, as he said on a video call, according to Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk:

“I’m frustrated at getting hit too much. I’m frustrated with that. At the end of the day, man, you want to win, you know," Wilson said.

“You never want to get hit. That’s just, that’s the reality of playing this position. Ask any quarterback who wants to play this game, and I think, at the same time, it’s part of the job and everything else. I think that the reality is that I’ve definitely been hit, been sacked, I don’t know, almost 400 times. And so we’ve got to get better. I’ve got to find ways to get better, too. And so just continue to try to find that. But I think that as we continue to go along the process, and I think about my career and what I want to be able to do, I think it always starts up front — offensively, defensively. It always does," he continued.

"And I think ultimately I’m grateful for the time that I’ve been able to put in every day into the process, and I love this game. I came to play this game to win championships. So if you asked me about the trust factor of it all, I mean, I’ve always put my trust in the Seahawks and trying to do whatever it takes to win and hopefully that will continue. I think that’s a key part and so I think part of that is how we go about the protection part of it and figuring those little things out like that. Those are important things," Wilson concluded.

Russell Wilson Says You Should Ask The Seahawks If He's Available For Trade

Then, when asked about whether he's available on trade talks or not, Russell Wilson didn't want to get into details and claimed that they should ask the team's front office that question and not him:

“I’m not sure if I’m available or not. That’s a Seahawks question," Wilson said. "I definitely believe they’ve gotten calls. Any time you’re a player that tries to produce every week and has done it consistently, I think people are gonna call for sure. I think that’s part of the process," Wilson said on The Dan Patrick Show.

Russell also admitted that he's not as involved in the personnel decisions as he would like to be or as other elite quarterbacks in the league are, which is clearly another sign of discontent towards the team.

“I think it helps to be involved more. I think that dialogue should happen more often,” he confessed.

Wilson had to carry the load for the Seahawks for most of the season until the defense finally caught up towards the final passage of the campaign. Still, he's just not satisfied with the way things unfolded:

“At the end of the day, you want to win,” Wilson said. “You play this game every day to wake up to win. You play this game to be the best in the world. You know what I hate? I hate sitting there watching other guys play the game," he concluded.

Judging by his words, it seems like Wilson is really livid right now. Maybe we shouldn't read much into it and he's just trying to force the Seahawks' hand to make some moves. Or maybe his time in Seattle is coming to an end.
