Since the start of the season, one of the main concerns for the Pittsburgh Steelers has been the physical wear and tear on Aaron Rodgers. At nearly 42 years old, the belief in the air is that this will be his final season in the NFL. In that sense, head coach Mike Tomlin’s team must pay close attention to how A-Rod is feeling.

Over the first four games he has played with the Steelers, Rodgers has endured nine sacks and 21 quarterback hits, along with minor issues such as lower back stiffness and a hand knock after colliding with a helmet on a handoff.

Considering his unfortunate past, like suffering a major injury in his debut with the New York Jets, Rodgers will have to take care of himself, and the Steelers must keep him at full strength. Ahead of the bye week, the veteran quarterback revealed what his main goal will be during the few days of rest.

ā€œThe bye week comes at a good time to get guys like Jaylen (Warren) or Joey (Porter) back. We’ve got a division game waiting for us, so we’re going to enjoy it. It’s a long trip, it feels much better after a win,ā€ Rodgers added following the victory over Minnesota in Ireland.
