Tom Brady is arguably one of the most influential figures in sports in recent years, joining a select group of all-time greats that includes Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. When the former Patriots QB was asked who he considers the true GOAT between the two global icons, his response caught fans and pundits alike by surprise.

During a recent appearance on Jake Paul’s YouTube channel Impaulsive, the multiple-time Super Bowl champion was asked to name the greatest athlete of all time in various sports. But when it came time to choose between Inter Miami’s and Al Nassr’s stars as soccer’s GOAT, Brady chose not to take sides.

ā€œMessi or Ronaldo?ā€ the former QB was asked. ā€œMessi or Ronaldo? God, that’s hard. That’s hard. I’m not even answering that question. I like them both too much. I like them both too much.ā€

However, when it came to picking GOATs in other sports, Brady had a much easier time. In Formula 1, he went with Lewis Hamilton; for WWE, he named Hulk Hogan; and, with a laugh, he called Rob Gronkowski the biggest partier in NFL history.

Brady also shared his thoughts on Shedeur Sanders’ situation

Tom Brady is undoubtedly one of the most iconic figures in the NFL in recent years, and his opinion carries significant weight. As a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, it made sense for him to also weigh in on what happened with Shedeur Sanders in the recent Draft.

ā€œIt’s a good question,ā€ the former Patriots QB stated when asked why he thinks Shedeur felt to pick number 144. ā€œI wasn’t a part of any evaluation process.ā€

He also added: ā€œI actually texted Shedeur because I know him very well, and I said, ā€˜Dude, like, whatever happens, wherever you go, like, that’s your first day. Day two matters more than the draft. I was [pick] 199. So, who could speak on it better than me, like, what that really means? Use it as motivation. You’re gonna get your chances. Go take advantage of it.ā€

Despite what happened with the former Buffaloes quarterback, Brady shared the message he had for his fellow QB looking ahead: ā€œUse it as motivation. Wherever you end up going, it’s about your performance. What do you do when you get there?ā€
