Noah Dobson, with a goal and an assist, led the charge for the Islanders, who are now just five points behind the Montreal Canadiens in the race for the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. The win, which came at a critical juncture in the season, breathed new life into both the team and its fans, who are eager to secure a playoff berth in the Stanley Cup chase.

ā€œWe played really well from start to finish,ā€ said Islanders head coach Patrick Roy, according to NHL.com. ā€œI thought we had a lot of jump, played solid defensively, had great sticks, and our forecheck was effective. Offensively, we managed the puck well, and all of those elements brought us success.ā€
