With 71 games played so far in the 2024-25 NHL season, Max Domi has become one of the Toronto Maple Leafs’ most respected voices—especially among fans eager to see how the team will approach the upcoming first-round matchup.
The warning about Toronto’s mindset came after the team clinched home-ice advantage for the opening round, despite a 1-0 overtime loss to the Canadiens. Domi didn’t hold back when asked about the team’s approach heading into the playoffs.
“It’s huge… It’s going to be a heck of a battle, so hopefully our fans are ready to go, because we will be for sure,” Domi said, as the Leafs prepare to extend their playoff appearance streak, which currently stands at nine consecutive seasons since 2017.
When was the last time the Leafs advanced past the first round?
