Brazil and Ecuador drew 1-1 on Matchday 5 ofCopa America 2021 and both teams qualified for quarter-finals. La Canarinha ended at the top of Group B without losing a game, and showing they’re the best team in South America at the moment. Ecuador, on the other hand, gained confidence for the next round of the tournament, after being the only team that could scratch a point from Tite’s team.

Brazil went ahead thanks to a header from Real Madrid’s Eder Militao in the first half. Everything seemed easy for the hosts from there, but Angel Mena appeared in the second half to level the score with a strike after a defensive mistake from Brazil.
