Brazil have advanced to the Copa America 2021 Final and they seem to be on their way to a back-to-back continental title. Still,Gabriel Jesus can’t be entirely excited about it as he won’t be eligible for the big game.

The Manchester City striker has played a pivotal role in La Verde-amarela’s success in 2019, scoring once and providing an assist both in the semi-finals against Argentina and in Brazil’s win over Peru in the grand final. However, he was far from delivering such performances in the current edition.

In four Copa America 2021 games, Gabriel Jesus hasfailed to score and set up only one goal in the 4-0 victory over Peru on Matchday 2. When it rains, it pours, they say. If not, ask Gabriel Jesus, who will miss the Copa America 2021 final against Argentina.
