Cristiano Ronaldo is playing the field, after a rather disappointing Serie A season with Juventus, not from him but the team, where the Turin giants finished fourth and were only able to win the Coppa Italia. Ronaldo himself scored 36 goals in 44 competitive matches, at 36-years-of-age, he is still a hot commodity in World soccer.

Ronaldo has 1 year remaining on his Juventus deal, and it has been reported by ESPN, that he has not fully committed to a return to Juventus despite meeting with new manager Massimiliano Allegri. It is being reported that the five-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner has interest from PSG, Manchester United, and a shock return to Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s wages limit the clubs he may go to, and it has been reported that he will make a final decision about his future after the Euro’s. Here are three players reported by Gazzetta dello Sport that could replace Ronaldo if he does leave Juventus.

24-year-old Gabriel Jesus is on top of the list, and while there is no indication that he could leave Manchester City, Gabriel Jesus would check off all the boxes at Juventus. The Brazilian has 50 goals in 131 games for City and can play in several attacking positions. The Brazilian star would most likely command a high transfer fee.

In an age where top clubs are not trying to spend as much, Dusan Vlahovic could be a much cheaper option for Juventus. The 21-year-old Serbian has been solid at Fiorentina and had his best production to date last season with 21 goals for The Purple Ones.

Mauro Icardi seems to always be on the short list of almost every club. The 28-year-old Argentine has had two stop and go seasons at PSG, due to injuries. When healthy the striker is a proven goalscorer and for some reason is never a fixture on the Argentine national team. The fact that his international calendar is almost always clear could make Juventus roll the dice, although it has been reported in the past Italian clubs do not like dealing with Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara.
