Real Madrid finished the job and beat Atalanta by 3-1 at Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium to advance to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a 4-1 advantage on aggregate. There was lot of expectation before this clash, after a first leg that left plenty to talk about.

The Merengues returned home with a one-goal difference in their favor following their dramatic victory in Bérgamo with a late Ferland Mendy goal. However, there was controversy and many angered spectators blasted towards the referee. 

On the second clash, there were more funny memes and reactions during the game as Karim Benzema scored again, although Atalanta's goalkeeper Marco Sportiello was blamed for it, while other decisions from the referee were also criticized.

The Italians were praised ever since they got into the Champions League in the past seasons and even impressed last year almost beating PSG. They had the support from almost all the fans who don't like Real Madrid. Los Blancos' supporters, however, were thrilled to watch their team getting the triumph.

As any Champions League important clash, fans went to social media to share their thoughts on what they were watching. Karim Benzema's opening goal, the calls made by the referee Danny Makkelie and Zinedine Zidane's team getting into the next round were topic of discussion.
