The Gold Cup 2021 Final is almost here. Mexico and the USMNT are preparing for the big game to be played on Sunday, August 1st, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. With El Tri looking to defend their crown and the USA trying to steal it, it will be a must-see match and fans want to be there.
This Gold Cup edition was special, not only because it is the 60th anniversary of Concacaf, but also because it was played one year after the pandemic. After the sanitary crisis, it was hard to imagine when fans would be allowed to attend soccer games.
Luckily, the US has been allowing attendance to sports events and this Concacaf tournament wasn’t the exception. The tournament was played in eleven venues across the country. The big final at the Allegiant Stadium also will have people in the bleachers.
Gold Cup 2021 Final Tickets Sold Out
Fans were eager to attend the Gold Cup 2021 Final as tickets were sold out in just 90 minutes after going on sale in June, a record for the tournament. That way, 60,000 fans will be cheering for their team in the newly opened venue in Las Vegas.
Also, this will be the first time that Las Vegas will hold a Gold Cup match in 16 editions. Not only was it the fastest sell-out in Gold Cup history, but also the first sell-out of the Allegiant Stadium, the home of Las Vegas Raiders.
With 60,000 spectators of the 65,000 capacity of the stadium will definitely mean that the Gold Cup Final will have a great atmosphere. Both Mexico and the USA will have plenty of people cheering for them.
