Japan will take on Spain for an epic semifinals game in the Men’s Soccer Tournament finals at the 2020 Olympic Games. This game will take place at Saitama Stadium on August 3, 2021 at 7:00 AM (ET). Japan has all the weight on their backs to win a medal. Spain now feels less pressure than before, all the criticism of La Roja turned into praise.

The host of the 2020 Olympic Games is getting closer to gold in the soccer tournament. The Japanese ended their group stage exam with a perfect 9 points note. But the only problem for them came in the quarterfinals against New Zealand. After a 0-0 draw against the OlyWhites, Japan’s solution was to win on penalties shootout.

Spain had a mediocre performance in Group C with only 1 win and 2 draws but it was enough to advance to the quarterfinals. Against Ivory Coast, in the quarterfinals, Spain struggled to win. But with a bit of luck La Roja was able to avoid the penalties and they won in the overtime 5-2.
