The last summer transfer window was one to remember with Lionel Messi's departure from Barcelona to join Paris and Cristiano Ronaldo's unexpected return to Manchester United. Mbappe could have been involved in another showcase move, but Paris Saint-Germain were unwilling to let him leave.
It's not a secret how long the Frenchman has desired to suit up for the Merengues at some point. With his contract coming to an end soon, Real Madrid want to take advantage of this situation and acquire the 22-year-old.
Real Madrid reportedly prepare €130m contract for Mbappe
The season has just begun and anything can happen by the end of 2021-2022, but Mbappe's future will only continue to raise speculation if he doesn't renew before January, when he'd be able to negotiate with other clubs.
According to Spanish newspaper ABC, Real Madrid plan to offer Kylian Mbappe a six-year contract worth €130 million. That deal would see the France international bag €30m in his first season, while he would make €20 million in the following five.
Even though they wouldn't have to spend on a transfer fee, Real Madrid would also pay Mbappe a €30 million signing bonus. Moreover, the contract would include a mind-blowing, €1 billion release clause.
