It’s not been an easy start to life at PSG for Lionel Messi despite all the noise his arrival has made for the last few months. But the Argentine star has finally scored forParis Saint-Germain in their huge win over Manchester City in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League.
In his fourth appearance – and third as a starter – Messi has finally got in the scoresheet with a fantastic strike. He may have not had his best performance but at least he managed to get aweight off his shoulders.
Messi seemed to be heading to another game without scoring nor providing an assist but, in the final minutes of the game, he made a great play with Kylian Mbappe to make fans going wild.

Paris emerged victorious in a highly anticipated clash against the Premier League champions but their performance hasn’t been completely convincing. Messi didn’t shine but neither did Neymar, for instance.

Getting the job done and securing all the points is obviously important but PSG might need to turn up their game if they really want to challenge for European glory. But meanwhile, their star-studded roster seems to be taking care of business.
