Chivas of Guadalajara have a policy like that of Atletico Bilbao in Spain, field only players born within the country’s borders. This policy has been around since the club was founded in 1906. Being a team that only fields Mexican players in Liga MX is tough, given the fact that teams in Liga MX spend big.

Nonetheless this policy has proven to be a winning formula as Chivas have won 12 league titles, 4 Copa MX, 1 Super Copa MX, and 2 International titles. Players of the caliber of Omar Bravo, Javier Hernández, Francisco Javier Rodríguez, Carlos Salcido and Marco Fabián have all come up through the system.

If you look at the Mexican transfer market many of the top valued Mexican player play at Chivas. We are counting down a list of the current market value of each player on Chivas’ squad based on Transfermrkt rating system. Here are the top 15 most valuable players at Chivas!
