Have you ever watched your soccer team get a beating and then you get back at their rivals in a video game by demolishing on the easiest difficulty setting? Well, that seems to be the case with Dutch giants Ajax, who recently torched VVV-Venlo 13-0.

Ajax were coming off a heartbreaking 0-1 loss to Liverpool for the UEFA Champions League despite putting a good effort in their season opener for the continental tournament, so they took revenge from their rivals with the most lopsided triumph in Eredivisie history.

The Dutch side needed to win this game to lead the table of the Eredivisie, and even though VVV-Venlo were struggling with just 5 points over the first 5 fixtures, no one, not even the most optimistic of their fans ever saw this coming.

Erik ten Hag’s team took the pitch on the road and had a field day with Venlo’s defense, with Jurgen Ekklenkamp scoring the first goal of the game after just 12 minutes, followed by Lassina Traoré’s first of five goals just five minutes later.

Traoré scored again at the 32th-minute mark before Dusan Tadic made it 4-0 one minute before half-time. The game was pretty much over at that point but Ajax wasn’t going to take their feet off the gas in the next 45 minutes.

Christiaan Kum was sent off for Venlo and Traoré scored his third 9 minutes after half-time. Then, Ajax rallied with 3 more goals in the next 5 minutes, one by Antony, another by Jurgen Ekklenkamp, and one by Daley Blind. It was 0-8 and there were still 30 minutes left to play.

Lassina Traoré scored his fourth goal of the evening on another assist by Antony at the 65th minute. Then veteran striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar made it 0-10 from the penalty spot just 4 minutes after entering the game.

Ajax kept pushing and scored two more goals in the next four minutes: another by Klaas Jan Huntelaar, and then a beautiful score by Lisandro Martínez. Then, three minutes before the end, Lassina Traoré capped off his historically great night with his 5th score. Wow. Check all the goals from this humiliating win in the link below:
