Jamal Musiala, the Bayern midfielder, collided with the opposing goalkeeper and suffered a serious ankle injury, prompting an immediate reaction from his teammate Alphonso Davies.

The Canadian, who is not taking part in the tournament due to injury, was live streaming during the match when his immediate reaction of shock and sadness to Musiala’s injury was clearly visible.

While the results of the medical tests are still pending—leaving uncertainty around Musiala’s final diagnosis—it’s clear that he is likely facing a lengthy recovery period.
