Zlatan Ibrahimovic had scored two past Inter's goalkeeper Samir Handanovic as Milan won 2-1 in the first Derby della Madonnina of the new 2020-21 Serie A season. The Swedish veteran scored both of his goals in the first 16 minutes of the game.

It was in the 12th minute when Aleksandar Kolarov tackled the 39-year-old in the Nerazzurri's penalty area. Ibra then took the responsibility to shot the penalty-kick. His shot was denied by Handanovic, however, the ball took a deflection and it was Zlatan who netted it this time.

Then, in the 16th minute, the Rossoneri managed a quick counter-attack from their area, reaching Inter's in just several seconds. The ball was in possession of Rafael Leao down the left flank, as the Portuguese crossed to find none else but Ibrahimovic.

Milan win first Derby della Madonnina in four years

Thanks to the 2-1 win, Milan are now on top of the Serie A table with four wins in four fixtures so far. The number four has another meaning in this case, as it has actually been four years since the Rossoneri have celebrated a win over their city rivals, Inter. The last one was on January 31, 2016 (3-0).

After the game, Zlatan poked fun at Inter and their star Romelu Lukaku, who in February claimed that 'there's a new King in town'. "Milano never had a king, they have a GOD," wrote the Swede on Twitter.
