The Olympic Games gather the greatest athletes from every corner on Earth every 4 years. They’re an example of competitiveness, sportsmanship, peace, and our ability to coexist and achieve incredible things.
Every country has at least one person leaving it all on its discipline to try and make their homeland proud. They all want to achieve the ultimate distinction in sports, which is winning the gold medal.
But even those who aren’t exactly fans of sports gather around their TV to witness one of the most iconic traditions: the opening ceremony and the Olympic torch lighting, and Tokyo 2020 wasn’t the exception to that rule.

The human race has been through enough over the past year and a half. But they couldn’t take this away from us. They couldn’t take away sports and what they stand for, our spirit, and our desire to always be better.
That’s what the Olympics stand for. That’s why it was so important to have the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to prove that there’s nothing that can stop us and that we can overcome every hurdle and obstacle if we work together.
Now, we’ll have a couple of weeks of nothing but the creme of the crop. The best athletes in mankind going toe-to-toe to prove who’s the best. But today, we’re all winners. Yes, even us watching from home.
