The big question for the 2020 Paralympic Games is related to the spectators. Many doubts were woven around the Summer Olympics in July and now the same process is repeated. But what is clear is that it will be impossible to see the stadiums, courts and other sports venues full of fans. Access is limited almost everywhere in Tokyo.

If someone wanted to travel to Japan to see their favorite athlete at the Paralympic Games then they will get a bitter response knowing that spectators are not allowed, under any circumstances, in the sports facilities or in the stands. They won't even have access to the VIP areas, not even with a fat bank account.

But despite the bad news, sports fans and lovers may become virtual spectators. The options to watch the 2020 Paralympics Games online or on television are multiple and are available in all countries of the world. In addition, several news websites have exclusive coverage of all events.

Japan authorities said no to spectators at the 2021 Paralympic Games

The Japanese government said they will not allow tourists in any of the vicinity of the sports facilities during the 2021 Paralympic Games. The coronavirus continues to be the main concern of the authorities in Japan, and they know that no sport is more important than the health of millions of people.

Journalists asked local authorities in Tokyo several times if a minimum number of people would be allowed at the Paralympic Games and the answer was a resounding NO again. As in the Summer Olympics, 97% of the events were restricted with no public, fans or other athletes in the stands.
