Andy Murray, alongside Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, was one of the most successful tennis players of the 2010s, winning three Grand Slam titles and two Olympic gold medals. But if Murray had to choose, which shots from the Big Three would he take?

In 2022, during the Laver Cup amid Federer’s retirement, he was asked by Eurosport to make his picks. ā€œI would take Roger’s serve. I’d take Novak’s return and Rafa’s forehand,ā€ he said. As for the rest: ā€œFor backhand, I’d go with Novak, and for volleys, Roger.ā€

Given the option to choose from his own game, he added, ā€œI’d maybe put my lob in there too—I think I can sneak that in.ā€ While Murray had an excellent lob, many fans would argue he could have picked himself for return, as he is often considered one of the game’s best returners.
