Saturday’s action ended in dramatic fashion with the Colorado Buffaloes defeat to the Kansas State Wildcats at Folsom Field. Colorado is now on walking the plank with little to no margin for error moving forward on their season. Quarterback <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/shedeur-sanders">Shedeur Sanders</a> was straightforward when addressing his individual play on the 31-28 loss to Kansas State.



Heading into the game, the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/colorado-buffaloes">Buffaloes</a> knew they faced a tall task in hosting the Wildcats. However, nothing could have fully prepared them for the events that unfolded, making their job even harder. Four receivers sustained injuries, including star Travis Hunter, who exited in the second quarter. Despite losing many of his familiar targets, Shedeur and the Buffaloes fought hard but ultimately came up just short of victory.



“It was aight,” Sanders said, via DNVR Buffs. “There was definitely some sacks I shouldn’t have took, some reads that I gotta make. I’ll watch the film and see where I can improve because I don’t think anyone ever plays a perfect game and I didn’t play a perfect game.”



Despite the injury bug to Colorado’s wide-receiver room, Sanders finished the game with 388 yards and three touchdowns. In terms of passing yards, it was Shedeur’s best game of the season. However, a bad interception, on an overthrown pass inside the redzone, stains his outing and was a decisive factor in the final score. In addition, Shedeur was sacked six times.

“That’s not in our thought process whatsoever, we’re one game at a time. You know, you hate dropping those games but you can see that we’re trending in the right direction.”

<h2>Heisman favorite Travis Hunter left the game with injury</h2>



It was not Colorado’s night by any means. Even though the Buffaloes lost by one possession and the scoreboard could’ve changed had a PI call gone their way on their last offensive play of the game, the Buffs took too many blows and made some crucial mistakes.

Travis Hunter abandoned the game during the second quarter with an upper-body injury and did not return for the night. The WR room was depleted with Hunter’s exit, along with injuries to Jimmy Horn Jr, Omarion Miller, and Terrell Timmons Jr. Despite the light workforce, quarterback Shedeur Sanders threw for 388 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.



“I never thought four receivers would get hurt in one game. That’s just ridiculous,” Shedeur said, per ABC. “But things happen. Life happens. So, we’ve just got to roll with it and do what we’ve got to do for next week.”

Mahomes’ junior year was his best season at Texas Tech; in 12 games, he completed 388 passes for 5,052 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. His overall record was of 13-19 and the team’s best season was on 2015 as they finished 7-5.



On November 9th, the Red Raiders will hold a special tribute for Mahomes during a highly anticipated matchup. The Buffaloes bring a lot of cameras and attention, and the stage could not be bigger to honor Mahomes—it seems only fitting.

The Colorado Buffaloes football program has a unique gem in their ranks. Head coach <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/deion-sanders">Deion Sanders</a> made something clear on star Travis Hunter and addressed the comparisons between themselves.



<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/colorado-buffaloes">Colorado</a> will host Kansas State on Saturday October 12th, the Buffs will be looking to make a statement win over a ranked opponent. Deion Sanders knows what’s at stake on this matchup, and it’s much more than a single win.



On the one hand, the Buffaloes could finally make the AP Top-25 with a victory over the Wildcats. On the other hand, and individually, standout <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/travis-hunter">Travis Hunter</a> could take the top spot in the Heisman Trophy rankings with a solid performance. Ahead of the match, Sanders made something clear on his coaching of Hunter.



“It’s not me against Travis,” Sanders stated, per Sports Illustrated. “I had my turn, man. I’m not a door knob anymore. You can’t just turn me on and off like a light switch anymore. I don’t do that. <h2>Shilo Sanders returns from injury</h2>



The Buffaloes loss to the Cornhuskers understandably left a sour taste. Colorado’s season was shaken up with the wide-margin loss in enemy territory, furthermore the Buffs sustained a big injury to their safety Shilo Sanders. After a three-game absence, Shilo recovered from his fractured forearm and will return to the field on Saturday against the Wildcats.

Though the team’s spirit and form is trending upwards as of late, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/colorado-buffaloes">Colorado</a> cannot lose sight of their end goal and must stay on track.
