Poised to be a Super Bowl contender, they now have a 1-4 record and quarterback Lamar Jackson is injured for a few weeks. It’s all going downhill but not for running back Derrick Henry, who is still positive the team can turn the season around.



During Thursday’s press conference, <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/derrick-henry" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Henry</a> said, “We can turn this thing around and get what we want to get out of the season. We just have to lock in, and everybody has just got to do more, hold each other accountable. Leaders lead.“

<h2>There is a problem with Henry</h2>



Usually one of the best running backs in the <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nfl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">NFL</a>, Henry made a name for himself for being a monstrous presence in the backfield, capable of pushing people with ease and also exploding on big plays. However, this season he’s not had his usual output.

Henry has only one 100-yard mark. Even worse, he has four straight weeks without surpassing 50 rushing yards in a game. Not only that, but he has been strangely unreliable as he has three fumbles already in the season, leading the NFL in that regard. For instance, Henry had three fumbles all last season.

<h2>The Ravens need to stay alive until the Bye Week</h2>



Baltimore plays this week and then the Bye Week comes. It needs to win its Week 6 game vs. the Rams, which is no easy feat whatsoever. But, if the team somehow makes it, the comeback might be on.



The Ravens then go to the Bye and probably recover Lamar Jackson, after that, the schedule is very winnable. They host the Bears, visit the Dolphins, play the Vikings, Browns, Jets and a Joe Burrow-less Bengals. Those might be at least five or even six wins. With that, the Ravens would be a .500 team and alive to push for a playoff berth.

Week 3 in the NFL wrapped up with a thrilling matchup that saw the Detroit Lions outplay a Baltimore Ravens defense that clearly wasn’t at its best. “That was kind of a blind shot there,” Harbaugh said. “I thought he had the ball in good position. Still, we just want to protect the football; all our guys do, and we have to do it. We have to be good at it.”

“[Henry] is different,” Chubb told ESPN’s Bien-Aime. “You are not gonna put him in that category, he showed it’s not true. And I think that applies for me. I’m in the category with them. I’m different, and I feel good as I have been.”

<h2>Burks has the chance of redemption in his hands</h2>



Entering his fourth season, Burks has failed to make an impact on his team. His best numbers were on his rookie year and they aren’t quite show-stopping. He had 444 yards and only one touchdown. Another worry has been his 57.6 catching percentage. He is not a safe target by any means.

Williams’ departure is due to a combination of injuries and inconsistency on the field, going from a starter to being inactive by the end of the 2024 season. “Lamar is a stakeholder. He’s a partner. He’s earned that right,” Eric DeCosta stated about Lamar and his influence on the team. “He made great tries this year. He’s my MVP. I think his impact on our team is impossible to measure.”



There’s no doubt about what Lamar Jackson can achieve within the Ravens’ roster, not only because of his talent but also because of what it means to have a quarterback with such an imposing leadership role on the team.

The Ravens’ offense not only features great talent in Lamar Jackson but has also added one of the best RBs in the league: <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/derrick-henry">Derrick Henry</a>. The former Tennessee Titans player was one of the standout figures last season in the NFL, and Eric DeCosta hopes he can replicate that performance once again in Baltimore.



“I mean, Derrick it’s just a phenomenal worker. He is a pro, does everything in the right way. The way that he practices, the way that he takes care of his body, his mentality on the field, his leadership. His talent, i mean, his freakishly talented, i mean his combination of talent and speed,


 


“So, he was just the perfect player for us i think, last year. The right addition. … We are blessed to have him and i would expect his successes last year to continue this year,” he concluded.
