<p>James has posted solid numbers, and it’s evident that he’s still in great shape. He could still play for a championship contender, <strong>provided that the numbers work </strong>and that said contender doesn’t have to rebuild or retool the roster around him.</p>



<p>However, he might not be interested in that again. Just like last season after being swept, the soon-to-be 40-year-old teased retirement <strong>after being eliminated by the Denver Nuggets.</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>“I got a family,”</em></strong> James said after the game. <em>“I got a nine-year-old daughter. I got a son that’s in college, that’s deciding if he’s going to go to college or go pro. I got a son that’s about to be a senior in high school.<strong> I’ve missed a lot of family time and they’ve allowed me to do that and never put no pressure on me.”</strong></em></p>

<p><strong><em>“That s— is important too,”</em></strong> added LeBron. <em>“What more [is left]? I’ve done everything I can do.<strong> There’s nothing I haven’t accomplished in this league that I’ve wanted to accomplish. So like at some point you got to [hang it up].”</strong></em></p>



<h2>Will LeBron James Retire?</h2>



<p>Truth be told, he’s right on point. He’s one of the few players who doesn’t have anything else to prove. He’s already the GOAT to some, and <strong>he’ll never reach that distinction for those he hasn’t convinced yet.</strong></p>



<p>Then again, <strong>he’s just not going to walk away from the game</strong>. He did the same thing after getting swept last season, and it’s all about controlling the narrative and getting people to talk about something other than his team’s shortcomings.</p>

<p><em>“Here’s what the Lakers will have to look at: What is the marketplace; who is available out there? Mike Budenholzer is the most accomplished coach that’s available. <strong>The Lakers have not shown necessarily a willingness to pay for a head coach of what Budenholzer is going to command on the market</strong>,” </em>Woj said. <em>“Is it fair for Darvin Ham to lose his job? <p><em>“I just think sometimes plays don’t turn out the way you think they should,”</em> Ham told the media. <strong><em>“The frustration sets in a little bit. But I don’t think it’s, for us, not being organized.”</em></strong></p>



<p>Ham then talked about how his coaching staff takes pride in their efficiency and preparation. He thinks Davis <strong>talked in the heat of the moment</strong> and let emotions get the best of him:</p>



<p><em>“I think I have incredibly talented coaches all along my staff and we pride ourselves on, whether it’s a practice or shootaround, games, whatever, we pride ourselves on being highly efficient organization,”</em> Ham said. <em><strong>“So I would just chalk that up to being frustrated, you know it’s an emotional game the way it ended and all of that. But I’ll agree to disagree on that one.”</strong></em></p>



<p>At the end of the day, both deserve some blame. Davis only took one shot in the fourth quarter, and any star player <strong>would’ve demanded the ball down the stretch</strong> in a game like that.</p>

They were quite close to putting an end to that dominance by evening things up in this series, but the outcome was the same.</p>



<p><strong>Darvin Ham’s team</strong> was up 20 points late in the third quarter. Then, <strong>Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray </strong>picked up the intensity and completely took over to lead their team to a two-point win.</p>



<p>The Lakers had played a perfect game before letting that huge lead slip right through their fingers. Then, following the loss,<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/lebron-james" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> <strong>LeBron James</strong></a><strong> ripped the officials over a single missed call.</strong></p>



<h2>LeBron James Calls Out The Referees</h2>



<p>James was livid at the fact that the refs overturned <strong>a blatant foul on D’Angelo Russell.</strong> Granted, <strong>Michael Porter Jr.</strong> smacked him in the face, and he should’ve gone to the line to shoot two free throws:</p>

What the f— do we have a replay center for if it’s going to go [like that].<strong> It doesn’t make sense to me. It bothers me.  Like, what are we doing? It’s f—ing stupid</strong>.”</em></p>



<p>Even so, the referees weren’t to blame<strong> for a blown 20-point lead</strong>. The Nuggets went to the line 17 times and the Lakers shot 13 freebies, so it’s not like there was much of a disparity.</p>



<h2>Darvin Ham Won’t Make Up Excuses</h2>



<p>Coach Ham, on the other hand,<strong> took a different stance</strong>. While he did acknowledge that some calls should’ve gone their way, he also admits that there was no excuse for blowing such a big lead: </p>



<p><strong><em>“Some tough calls,” </em></strong>Ham said.<em> <strong>“Some tough non-calls. But you can’t use any of that as an excuse. You gotta go out there and be ready to make plays whether the whistle gets blown or not.</strong> It’s getting real tricky — you go through the season, games being officiated one way, and then you get to the playoffs, and I guess it’s left up to the interpretation of the three individual guys that’s doing the job out there.”</em></p>
