<a href="https://bolavip.com/en/topic/inter-miami">Inter Miami</a> closed the year by lifting the MLS Cup, with Lionel Messi leading a roster that has grown in stature across MLS but is far from satisfied. Club executives understand that sustaining success will require additional quality in the transfer market as they prepare for future competitions and the challenges ahead. “The team led by Javier Mascherano is looking for a center back for 2026, and Marcos Rojo has emerged as a priority on the list,” TNT Sports reported. The report points to the 35-year-old defender, who currently plays for Racing Club, as a leading target.



“Although his contract with Racing expires in June 2026, Rojo has the option to leave at the end of this year,” TNT Sports added when addressing his contractual situation. Rojo joined Racing in mid 2025 following his stint with Boca Juniors, and Inter Miami are reportedly evaluating a move as part of their long term defensive planning.

Just over a week before their debut in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Inter Miami are fine-tuning final details to arrive in top form. According to TyC Sports, the Herons are aiming to sign Marcos Rojo to strengthen their defense, one of the team’s most vulnerable areas this year. <h2>Who is Marcos Rojo?</h2>



Rojo made his professional debut in 2008 with Estudiantes de La Plata, where he quickly showcased his potential and drew interest from European clubs. At just 20 years old, he was sold to FC Spartak Moscow in 2010 for just over $2 million. Two years later, he joined Sporting CP for nearly double that amount.

The reports said that the intruders took cash, watches, jewelry and even an Iphone.
<h2>Marcos Rojo’s housemaid arrested after robbery at home</h2>
According to the local reports, the burglars didn’t force the fence around the house and they entered after turning off the alarm using the code. Rojo’s wife Eugenia Lusardo also told detectives she saw the housemaid spending too much time in the area where most of the prized possessions were taken.
So far, the total value of the cash and objects robbed hasn’t been disclosed yet. The player, who signed with Boca last February, hasn’t made any comment yet. However, he confirmed the incident by reposting a story in his Instagram with a press note.
While the housemaid, a 41-year-old woman, is the only one detained. The police don’t know the whereabouts of the intruders. Meanwhile, Rojo didn’t feature in the summer tournament game against Colo Colo, which his side won 2-0, as he was handed a five-match ban for an incident during a tunnel brawl with rivals Atletico Mineirao in Copa Libertadores.
