<p>But as worried as he is about Morant, Stephen A. still believes<strong> he shouldn’t be suspended for a year</strong>. The league wants to make an example out of it and will likely lay the hammer on him:</p>



<p><em>“Adam Silver pretty much indicated that he knows what he’s going to do, but he doesn’t want it to be a distraction from the NBA Finals,” </em>Smith said on his podcast. <strong><em>“We know it’s not good news. Because if it was good news, why not just announce it and move on with the Finals? There are some people who are saying Ja Morant should be suspended for the year.”</em></strong></p>



<p>“<em>Let me be very, very clear I will be the first to raise holy hell with all that I have if he is suspended for the year. I understand that he has impugned the integrity of the league, but </em><strong><em>it shouldn’t be a year. It shouldn’t even be half the season. If he ends up getting a 25-game suspension, I think that’s fair,</em>“</strong> he added.</p>

<p>Police from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee had to conduct a welfare check on Ja Morant this Wednesday, according to <em>The Commerical Appeal</em>. The guard posted phrases saying<strong> <em>“Love ya ma,” “Love ya pops” </em>and <em>“You da greatest baby girl, love ya”</em></strong>, alongside <strong>pictures of each member of his family</strong>. The stories have already been deleted.</p>



<p>All those images <strong>alerted the police</strong>, NBA fans and, of course, his family. The last picture was of himself alongside the word <strong><em>“Bye”</em></strong>. Officers checked on <strong>Ja Morant</strong> and then the Sheriff’s Office released a statement about his status.</p>

<p>People have debated whether he should or shouldn’t be suspended because of this. Whatever the case, some are <strong>worried about his attitude</strong> getting in the way of his promising career.</p>



<p>Morant was spotted throwing up gang signs,<strong> <a href="https://bolavip.com/en/nba/espn-insider-says-ja-morant-has-a-drinking-problem-20230516-BUS-1303.html" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">drinking tequila</a></strong>, and waving guns, risking his <strong>200+ million sneaker dea</strong>l. That’s why <strong>Crips member Bricc Baby </strong>sent him a stern warning.</p>

<p><em>“He ain’t f***ing with the gangland like that,”</em> Bricc Baby told Cam Capone News. <em>“You throwing them ‘Ns’ up, that’s gonna cost you. <strong>What you wanna do, pay the crips for the rest of your life? Because that’s gonna cost you.”</strong></em></p>



<p><strong><em>“Start being real with yourself,” </em></strong>Baby added. <em>“You a basketball player. you want to come step into this field, we can show you a whole lot about this s***. <strong>Matter of fact, set up a meeting for me and Ja Morant, since he want to be a Crip. I bet you he don’t never show up, and it’s on some friendly s***.”</strong></em></p>

<p>Notably, Bricc then<strong> doubled down on his take</strong> by urging Morant to meet him and discuss his attitude, adding that he doesn’t want any problems or has any sort of beef with him:</p>



<p><strong><em>“Come on, Ja,”</em></strong> Bricc Baby said. <em>“I just was pleading to you to stop gang-banging. You’re one in a million. </em><strong><em>You made it out, even if you didn’t come from, whatever, you made it against all this s*** against Black people.</em>“</strong></p>



<p><em>“Another pistol? Not another pistol. Come to LA and come holla at me, no beefing, no nothing. <strong>I wanna have a sit down with Ja Morant,”</strong></em> he added.</p>

<p>Morant was suspended for eight games during the season for an incident involving a gun. Now it was his own franchise who decided to act after another episode of that type. “We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant. <strong>He is suspended from all team activities pending league review</strong>. We have no further comment at this time”, the Grizzlies said in a statement.</p>

<p>His team didn’t have a choice but to suspend him after repeating the same mistake. <strong>Morant’s future seems very unclear at this point</strong>, although a lengthy suspension is rumored to be going his way next season. He at least decided to accept what he did in a statement.</p>



<p>“I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. <strong>My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions</strong>. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself”, Morant said according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN on Tuesday night.</p>

That is unfair.</em>“</p>



<p><em>“However, I know how difficult it is to drink tequila at the rate that young man</em> <em>would guzzle tequila from that bottle. <strong>All I’m saying is you can only do that with practice, and the level of practice it requires to consume tequila at the rate that I’ve seen him consume tequila? Healthy people can’t do that in my viewing experience,” </strong></em>Jones continued.</p>



<p><em>“So yeah, good for you Grizzlies you came out here ‘<strong>Oh, we’re gonna suspend him!’ Okay, yall gotta much harder work to do than this,</strong>“</em> he concluded.</p>
